Swiwear Size Guide - August Society

Finding the perfect fit starts with finding your correct size! You'll be measuring yourself so get yourself a soft tape measure, wear a comfortable unpadded bra and grab a mirror or a friend to help.

Bikini Tops

Our bikini tops are sized as XS, S, M, etc., but are based on your bra size to ensure a better fit. Refer to the bra sizing system you are most familiar with below.

Not sure of your size? Here's how to measure yourself:

  •
This bra sizing method is based on standard US / UK measuring guidelines.

Step 1: Find your band size

Band sizeBring the tape measure around your back at the level of your bra band. Wrap the tape under your arms to the front above your bust (where your bra strap meets your bra is a good guide). Breathe in and out, and make sure the tape is snug but not too tight. This is your band size. Round up to the nearest even number.

Step 2: Find your cup size

cup sizeMeasure around the fullest part of your bust with the tape parallel to the floor, again making sure the tape is not too tight or too loose. This is your bust measurement. Round up to the nearest inch.

Your cup size is determined by your band measurement subtracted from your bust measurement. Check the chart below for your cup size.

For example: if your band measurement is 34 and your bust measurement is 36, you are a 34B in US sizing and a 34C in UK sizing.

  • This bra sizing method is based on standard European / Asian (Japan, China, Korea) measuring guidelines (see below to convert to France and Australia sizing).

Step 1: Find your band size

band sizeBring the tape measure around your torso, right underneath your bust. Breathe in and out, and make sure the tape is snug but not too tight. This is your band size. Round up or down to the nearest 5cm (e.g. 74 or 76 will round to 75).

Step 2: Find your cup size

cup sizeMeasure around the fullest part of your bust with the tape parallel to the floor, again making sure the tape is not too tight or too loose. This is your bust measurement. Round to the nearest centimetre.

Your cup size is determined by your band measurement subtracted from your bust measurement. Check the chart below for your cup size.

For example: if your band measurement is 70 and your bust measurement is 85, you are a 70B

Bikini Bottoms

Not sure of your size? Here's how to find it:

Step 1: Measure your waist

Find your natural waistline by bending to one side to find the natural indentation in your torso. Wrap the tape around your natural waistline, keeping the tape parallel with the floor.

Step 2: Measure your hip

Stand with your feet together. Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, keeping the tape parallel with the floor.

waist hip diagramNote: if your hip range and waist range differ on the size chart above, fit to the bigger of the two (i.e. if your hip measurement says you are an 'M' but your waist measurement says you should go for an 'S' or vice versa, choose the 'M')
