Time to Get Away: A Caribbean Beach Mini-Guide

Time to Get Away: A Caribbean Beach Mini-Guide

Got the travel bug? We feel you, girl.

Every so often, it’s important to grab your cutest bikini, toss on some flip flops, and jet off to the Caribbean. Or if you can’t swing that, at least you can put on some pajama pants and read about some white sand beaches!

May we suggest you grab some Jimmy Buffett and a margarita?

Without further ado, we’re taking you on a virtual tour of some of the Caribbean’s best beaches. Whether you’re planning a trip or just enjoying a daydream, here are the best of the best!

Sandy Lane Beach, Barbados

This beach adorns Barbados’ beautiful west coast, where soft white sand and shallow smooth water laps at the edges of a tropical lagoon. Sandy Lane is completely gorgeous.

If you enjoy recreational swimming and don’t want to worry about sea critters and heavy waves, Sandy Lane is for you! The protected lagoon is calm and warm.

Also, you might spot one of the celebrities who stay at the ultra-luxe Sandy Lane Resort nearby.

Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman

Considered by many as the crown jewel of the Caribbean, Seven Mile Beach stretches for a glorious ten kilometers along Grand Cayman’s coast. Fronting crystal clear water and blue skies, Seven Mile is some of the best beach in the Caribbean. Picture a tropical desktop screensaver: congrats, you’ve just seen Seven Mile Beach.

The beach’s fame, though justly earned, can give the beach a crowded feel. There are many nearby resorts and condominiums, so don’t expect solitary time. However, there are a huge variety of sports and concessions available for your enjoyment. Parasailing, anyone?

Anse Chastanet, St Lucia

If Seven Mile is too mainstream for you, St Lucia’s sheltered Anse Chastanet beach lies north of the city of Soufrière. A tropical paradise, this beach radiates a wild and tropical beauty. Shady palms grow right up to the beach, and you can hear the sounds of the tropical jungle just behind you as you enjoy the white sand.

This beach is a calm respite from the world, and the palm trees shading your mimosa will prevent sunburn. This spot is perfect for our beach babes who like to take it easy.

Magens Bay, St Thomas

For the nature lovers among you, Magens Bay is an amazing choice. The calm waves and turquoise waters make for excellent scuba diving and snorkeling. The bay sits between two mountains, offering a beautiful view and excellent hiking options. Also, the beach is accessible via a nature trail that winds through the tropical forest and mangrove groves. If you want a sampling of Caribbean flora and fauna, Magens Bay has you covered.

Magens is our pick for people who want a little bit of everything; nature, ocean, privacy, energy, and turquoise waters.

And there you have it! A mini vacation for you! May we recommend that you indulge in some new swimwear before you take your vacation? Real or imagined, a tropical vacation is always more fun in a cute new swimsuit.
